SHELTERS
Transitional Shelter
The Contact Ministries Transitional Shelter provides safety to women and their children (boys to the age of 12). While in the shelter our residents have their basic needs met. Food, clothing, personal care items, laundry facilities, transportation, and childcare just to name a few.
In addition, supportive and educational services and programs are offered to our residents. These services include, mental health counseling, parenting classes, budgeting classes, nutrition classes, tutoring for school aged students, and weekly case management with goal setting. Our residents are assisted in finding and securing permanent housing, employment, childcare and any other long term resources they may need upon successful graduation of our program. We also work with District 186 to make sure that school-age children are regularly attending classes. The Transitional Shelter is open 7-days a week, 24-hrs. a day, 365-days a year.
