OUR SERVICES

WHAT WE DO

Contact Ministries is a Christian organization. We value living out the two great commandments to love God and love our neighbor. (Matt. 22:37-39) Our goal is to see transformation in the lives of the people we serve. Our Mission is to daily serve the greater Springfield community by providing Emergency and Transitional Shelter with life skills training, as well as food, clothing, financial assistance and referrals through Christ’s love and compassion. Our vision is to meet the basic needs of all while impacting lives for Christ.

Shelters

The homeless population in the Springfield community is growing and becoming an incredible concern for many.

Contact Ministries’ Emergency (crisis) shelter offers women and women with children of all ages (up to age 17), a safe and stable environment where their basic needs can be met. The shelter is open from 5:00pm-8:00am 365 days a year and gives each resident the dignity they deserve to begin working towards building a better life. The shelter has been home to women age 18-90. Case management and on site mental health counseling is available so an individual plan can be created.

The 6 month long-term Transitional shelter offers women with children, a safe and secure environment, where their lives will begin to transform through required life skill classes (i.e. parenting, budgeting, nutrition, employment, etc.) weekly case management with goal setting, on site mental health counseling and other supportive services to provide the needed resources to get on a pathway to a successful future for themselves and their children.
