Prom Fundraiser

Every year we gather together to celebrate the prom. This event is our most important fundraiser of the year. The funding from this event determines our ability to continue to have open doors in our Emergency Shelter for the most vulnerable people in our community, women and children. Sponsors have various funding opportunities with different levels. Thanksgiving Giveaway

Contact Ministries along with long term community partner Temple B’rith Sholom provides over 50 thanksgiving baskets to those in need in our community. This event is held the week of Thanksgiving and requires pre-registration. This event allows us to bless families during the thanksgiving holiday with a turkey, sides and even a pie. Additional thanksgiving baskets are always appreciated so we are able to reach more families in need.

Big Christmas Giveaway

The Big Christmas giveaway is where Contact Ministries and its community partners come together for the Christmas season. Some of our community partners include Cherry Hills Church, Sangamon County Farm Bureau, Pork Producers of IL, Westminster Presbyterian Church, Williamsville High school, just to name a few. We provide a fresh ham, sides, hats and gloves, and a little extra to help through the holiday. This event requires pre-registration; we can serve up to 500 families which includes 100 seniors. This event is held at Contact Ministries.

Adopt-a-family Christmas

Everyone who is currently living in our Transitional and Emergency shelter receives a blessed Christmas through our Adopt-a-family program. In addition, if you have graduated from our program in the last 12 months you qualify to receive an adopt-a-family Christmas. If you are interested in adopting a family, please contact our volunteer coordinator.
